In this article I will talk about the hotel Le 123 Elysees, in which we stayed in Paris in January 2019. I will show the photo of the hotel and talk about its main “chips”.
The 4 * Astotel Le 123 Elysees is located in the fashionable 8th arrondissement of Paris, just a 5-minute walk from the Champs Elysees. It is located at 123 Rue Du Faubourg Saint Honoré, on a small street next to the Église Saint-Philippe-du-Roule Catholic Church and line 9 Saint-Philippe du Roule Metro Station, which provides direct access to Trocadero Square and Galeries Lafayette, as well as the Franklin D. Roosevelt station, from which you can reach all the main attractions of the center of Paris.
Distance to the main attractions:
- Arc de Triomphe – 1.1 km
- Eiffel Tower – 2 km
- Louvre Museum – 2.5 km
- Sacre Coeur Basilica – 2.8 km
- Notre Dame Cathedral – 3.6 km
- Paris Christmas Market – 0.4 km
- Pavillon Champs-Elysées – 0.5 km

We mainly used the metro and once a bus ( you can get to the Orsay Museum directly). We walked to the Champs Elysees (literally 5 minutes and you are at the Tiffany store). Walking distance to at least 2 grocery stores: MONOPRIX (350 meters) and Carrefour (350 meters). Around the corner is Maison Julien Bakery and Confectionery (closed Saturday). You can buy cakes or sandwiches / salads for a snack, or try what a French baguette is 🙂
How to get to the hotel from Charles de Gaulle Airport and North Station
I already told on the blog that from the airport to the hotel we got on a group shuttle for 17 euros per person, and back to the airport on a private transfer kiwi-taxi transfer for 50 euros. In fact, this is the most convenient way: do not bother with studying routes, looking for a bus and carrying luggage (especially on the way back when the suitcases are full of French souvenirs). You can book a transfer here .
A taxi costs on average 40 euros, uber 30-70 euros, depending on the time of day and the situation on the roads.
A cheaper, but less convenient way is to get there by public transport. The Line 2 bus from Terminal 1 (Le Bus Direct Line 2) takes you to the Arc de Triomphe (Etoile / Champs-Elysées), about 16 minutes on foot from it or on bus number 43 for 9 minutes. Other options include 2 or more transplants.
You can get from Paris North Station without changes by bus No. 43, or by metro with one change (lines 4 or 5 or 7 + line 9).
Check-in and a room
Check-in at the hotel – from 14:00. When booking, I indicated the time of arrival at 10-11 in the morning, to which I was told that they could check in earlier if there are free rooms, otherwise, they will be happy to provide us with breakfast. We arrived at the hotel at 10:10, there were no available rooms, but we were issued, they took my phone number, they said they would call me as soon as the number was ready. They offered to have breakfast.
After breakfast, we walked around for a bit and already at 12 o’clock called the reception: the room was ready. Incredibly responsive, pleasant guys work at the reception, they are always ready to help. Before checking in, they removed the plastic packaging from the suitcases and helped to bring the luggage to the room.
As for the room, it is large enough with comfortable beds.
There is a small wardrobe and a safe (free).
Also included in the price is a minibar, which is replenished daily (soft drinks and water).
There is a teapot, tea, coffee (tea and coffee, of course, are mediocre, tea bags in the buffet is much better; but it doesn’t matter to me, I always take a few tea bags from home with my favorite tea :))
Plasma and desktop.
There are small French balconies, a view of the cathedral and the neighboring street.
The bathroom is large enough, there is a full bathroom (I know that it’s important for someone to have a bath, not a shower). There are bathrobes and slippers.
Towels are changed if they are hung in a specific place.
Hotel amenities and meals
Free wifi works throughout the hotel, the room worked well. There is no parking at the hotel.
Breakfast was included in the room rate. Breakfast is not bad, although standard enough (it’s always more than enough for me): scrambled eggs, sausages, French cheeses, sausage slicing, salted fish, cherry tomatoes and mozzarella, yoghurts, fruits, pastries, jam, nutella, cereal, water , juices, tea, coffee. You can order a cappuccino. A few breakfasts:
The main feature of the chain’s hotels is the buffet bar, which is open from 13:00 until the evening. You can drink tea, coffee, carbonated drinks, a snack pastries and sweets, chips, cookies. In addition, on the hotel’s card you can go to any Astotel hotel in Paris and drink coffee there for free.
Price per room
In January 2019, the price for a room was 1960 € for 7 nights (280 € per night), this is the rate without free cancellation, booked 8 days before arrival. Plus 2,88 € per person per night – city tax, which was paid extra. When booking, I see the price in advance of 1577 € for 7 nights (225 € per night) under the same conditions.
How to book
Booked via booking [ reservation link ]. You can also compare prices on hotellook.com, suddenly somewhere cheaper.
